Apple iPad Review
There were lots of rumours about the Apple’s new upcoming tablet. Now, it is finally launched with name as iPad. Apple is known for its fabulous products and Apple’s iPad is not an exception. Apple’s iPad has got stunning screen and it has super thin and sleek body. iPad weighs 1.5 lbs and it is hard to handle it. The look is good but no new design innovation has been made. The iPAd’s user interface is based on both iPhone and iPod touch platform. The CPU works at amazing speed. Webpages get loaded extremely fast and you can scroll through easily. You can easily glide through applications.
iPad is better in its colour display and has offers to embed audio and video files in books. This iPad gives a real book reading feel to it. The iBook app has an amazing look with shelf like interface and a store behind it which enables users to buy books and downloading easy. It will help traditional e-readers to evolve into a more sophisticated device. This is good for casual readers as they get all in one in one device.
This iPhone runs on OS 3.2. Keyboard is good enough to tap your fingers around. This iPhone comes in 16, 32 and 64GB versions with Wi-Fi connectivity. Users have choice to sign up wit AT & T 3G services from the tablet and can terminate the account whenever they wish to. 3G connectivity is optional in iPAd. This device is environment friendly as it is BFR free and PVC free.
The real disappointment is its no multitasking feature. All the power of this iPAd seems wasted and a real set back. Features like camera are missing totally from iPad so you miss video conferencing. It doesn’t even have the SMS app!

Nexus One vs iPhone
The Nexus One from Google vs the iPhone from Apple. We’ll present the facts and you decide.
Let’s start with the Hardware and since the Nexus One is newer to the Smart Phone market its 1 GHz Snapdragon processor should theoretically best the iPhone 3GS’ 600 MHz Cortex. The Nexus One doesn’t have the 16GB or 32GB of internal storage that come with the iPhone, but it can use MicroSD cards that store just as much. It also has double the RAM of the iPhone 3GS, 512MB vs. 256MB. The display on the Nexus One is slightly larger with the 3.7 inch vs the 3.5 inch multi-touch screen. The iPhone camera comes as a 3.15 megapixel with auto-focus but lacks the 2x digitalzoom and LED flash on the Nexus One’s 5 megapixel spec. As far as video capture, the iPhone records with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels compared to 720 x 480 pixels for the Nexus one.
Now the Applications available. The iPhone wins hands down with over 20 thousand choices compared to around 10 thousand for the Nexus One. On the other hand, a lot of the iPhones Applications can cost 1.99 to unlock which causes some resentment with iPhone users. The Nexus One uses the the Android 2.1 operating system and will definitely give the iPhone 3.1 OS a fight. It features the ability to carry multiple wallpapers, “interactive” backgrounds which make patterns after a user touches the screen and an extensive file-browsing system. Google’s work on the OS has also resulted in a number of new voice commands. Users can now dictate voice-to-text, and can use voice commands in order to receive turn-by-turn directions in the phone’s GPS software. Google’s work on the OS has also resulted in a number of new voice commands. Users can now dictate voice-to-text, and can use voice commands in order to receive turn-by-turn directions in the phone’s GPS software. This feature is very nice when your in a hurry or your driving and need quick and easy access to the phone’s many features. When it comes to music and video the iPhone does double as an iPod with iTunes full access but the Nexus One can still find and delivery this content via its very powerful Google Web Application integration.
Both gadgets come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. However, the iPhone’s file system is locked, barring users from sharing files between their phones. Both gadgets also come with a digital compass and accelerometer, but the Nexus adds a second microphone to its hardware in order to power a “noise cancellation” feature.
Rumor has it that Apple will be launching its next-generation iPhone in May, and not in June or July 2010. This launch should take care of most of the shortcomings of the iPhone 3GS. It may even widen the gap between tech titans Apple and Google, as they slug it out in the battle for smartphone supremacy.
Difference between SD and SDHC Flash Memory Cards
Looking at both cards below, they both look physically the same but will they work in any device that can fit them?
The card on the right is an SD(Secure Digital) card, with capacities that range from 1MB to 2GB. The card on the left is SDHC(Secure Digital High Capacity), with capacities that range from 4GB to as high as 32GB. The two cards are not interchangeable, thus you cannot use an SDHC card on a device that is only compatible with SD cards. SDHC compatible devices are however backward compatible with SD cards.
Below are some common questions about SD and SDHC
Q: How do I know if my camera is SDHC compatible?
A: Check the manual for your camera, you can also look up the specifications for your camera on a search engine such as Google. If the slot on your camera is specified as SD, then it will not work with an SDHC card.
Q:The SDHC card works fine in my camera. Why is it not being detected on my computer even though it fits in the memory card slot?
A: Your memory card reader may not be SDHC compatible. As mentioned earlier, both cards look physically the same but SD host adapters cannot read SDHC cards.
Q:Can I make my SD card reader capable of reading SDHC cards by downloading a driver or software?
A: The incapability of SD card readers to read SDHC cards is hardware based and no driver or software can make an SD card reader capable of reading SDHC cards. Some SD card readers support SDHC through a firmware upgrade, however most SD card readers do not have any firmware upgrade available.
